Dan Koh secured the Democratic nomination in Massachusetts' 6th Congressional District on September 1 after winning a crowded primary with roughly 42 percent of the vote, positioning him as the clear favorite in the November 3 general election against Republican Micah Jones. The open seat, vacated by Seth Moulton’s Senate bid, lies in a district with a strong Democratic tilt, reflected in consistent “Solid Democratic” or “Safe Democratic” ratings from major forecasters. Koh’s substantial fundraising advantage, institutional endorsements including from former President Biden, and the party’s historical dominance in Massachusetts House contests underpin trader consensus around a 95 percent implied probability of victory. Jones, an Army veteran and attorney, advanced unopposed in the Republican primary but faces structural headwinds in a district where Democratic candidates have long prevailed by wide margins. Late developments such as major scandals, health events, or sharp national political shifts could still alter the trajectory before Election Day.

A candidate's party will be determined by their ballot-listed or otherwise identifiable affiliation with that party at the time all of the 2026 House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources. A candidate without a ballot-listed affiliation to either the Democrat or Republican parties will be considered a member of one of these parties based on the party with which they most recently expressed their intent to caucus at the time all of the House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources.
This market will resolve based on the result of the election as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as reported by the United States government, specifically the Federal Election Commission (https://www.fec.gov/).
