The Woman Behind Moonrise Mystic
I’m Alysia Moonrise. Mystic, dark fiction author, and a woman who has done her own descent and come back raw, fiery, and unapologetic.
I write here because I believe the dark feminine has been misunderstood long enough. And fiction has always been where she hid, waiting to be found.
I've been writing dark fiction and essays for over a decade. What I knew was that I was drawn to stories that probe the unseen, that honor the shadow, that refuse to make the dark into something to be fixed.
My self-published novels include the standalone magical realism The Wonder Soul and The Raven Dreams trilogy, both available on my author site.
In addition to writing, the potions grew from my own healing with essential oils and earth magic. Each potion is paired with a simple activation to support tangible shadow work and body healing—perfect companions for the stories’ themes.
