A few things worth making explicit:

This is an explicitly anti-racist, anti-homophobic, anti-transphobic, anti-ableist space. I care about making this community welcoming to people who are often made to feel otherwise. Disagreement is welcome; dehumanising people is not. Racism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, misogyny, harassment, or language that treats another person’s identity or humanity as up for debate may be removed, and repeat offenders may be blocked. I’d really rather we didn’t have to make this complicated.

The writing is mine. Unless otherwise stated, the essays, poetry, photographs, and other original material published here belong to me. Please don’t reproduce, republish, sell, or distribute substantial parts of my work without permission. Sharing links, quoting short excerpts with attribution, and enthusiastically sending posts to your group chat are very welcome.

Your contributions are yours. If you leave comments or send replies, you remain responsible for what you post. Please don’t harass people, violate someone else’s privacy, or generally behave like the reason websites need Terms of Service in the first place.

Subscriptions. Paid subscriptions are processed through Substack and its payment providers. Prices, renewal terms, cancellations, refunds, and billing are subject to the terms shown when you subscribe and the relevant Substack policies.

No promises of perfection. I will do my best to keep this publication running, but I can’t guarantee that every post, email, comment section, or feature will always be available without interruption.
