Incumbent Republican Brad Knott holds a substantial edge in North Carolina's 13th congressional district for the November 3, 2026, general election, driven by the seat's R+8 or stronger partisan lean following recent redistricting and his primary win with nearly 90% of the vote. Democrat Paul Barringer secured his party's nomination in March but faces an uphill path in a district rated Likely or Solid Republican by major forecasters, with projected margins around 10 points. Knott's fundraising advantage, legislative record on immigration and border issues, and the absence of competitive recent polling reinforce trader consensus around his strong position, though the general election remains weeks away and subject to standard campaign dynamics.
