Brock Bowers enters the 2026 NFL season as the Raiders’ clear top receiving option under new coach Klint Kubiak, but a training-camp meniscus injury led to a trim procedure on September 9 that will sideline the two-time Pro Bowl tight end for at least the opener against Miami and likely Week 2 at the Chargers. The 23-year-old posted 7 receiving touchdowns in just 12 games despite lingering knee issues in 2025, building on a rookie All-Pro campaign of 5 scores on record volume. Kubiak’s scheme and an upgraded quarterback room featuring Kirk Cousins and first-overall pick Fernando Mendoza are expected to funnel targets through Bowers once healthy, though the early absence and prior durability concerns introduce uncertainty around his full-season touchdown total.
