Jordan Addison enters the 2026 season as Minnesota’s established WR2 behind Justin Jefferson, with the Vikings exercising his fifth-year option to keep him under contract through 2027. After career lows of 42 receptions and 610 yards in 14 games during 2025 amid poor quarterback play and seven drops, expectations center on a rebound with Kyler Murray under center following offseason training together. Murray’s Week 1 concussion and subsequent status, however, have shifted early targets toward Jefferson and tight ends while Carson Wentz handled relief duty. The addition of Jauan Jennings as WR3 adds minor target competition in an offense that historically funnels volume to the top two wideouts. Addison’s deep-threat profile and route participation (second on the team in Week 1) position him for yardage upside if Murray returns healthy and the passing game stabilizes, though efficiency concerns from last season remain relevant for season-long totals.
