This market will resolve to the player who wins the 2026 MLS Landon Donovan Most Valuable Player. In the event of a tie, this market will resolve according to the official winner as determined by MLS rules. If multiple winners are announced then this market will resolve to the player whose listed last name comes first alphabetically. If the 2026 MLS season is cancelled, postponed after December 31, 2026 ET, or there is otherwise no winner declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”. The resolution source for this market will be official information from Major League Soccer; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.**Lionel Messi’s commanding lead in the 2026 MLS MVP market reflects his unmatched goal contributions and overall impact at Inter Miami.** As of early September, he sits tied or near the top of the scoring charts with 18 goals and 10 assists, including a four-goal performance in a 7-1 rout of CF Montréal that helped Miami climb to second in the Eastern Conference. Analysts and power rankings consistently place him ahead of the field for a potential third straight award, citing his league-leading shots, shots on target, and role in generating half of his team’s goals. Petar Musa (18 goals for FC Dallas) and Sam Surridge (13 goals for Nashville SC) trail as the next-closest challengers on raw scoring, but their teams’ middling standings and lower assist tallies limit their cases relative to Messi’s broader statistical dominance and team influence. Evander, Denis Bouanga, Son Heung-min, and others remain further back with fewer combined goal involvements and less consistent recent form. The current pricing captures the wisdom of crowds betting on Messi’s continued edge through the final weeks.
