Terry McLaurin enters the 2026 NFL season as the Washington Commanders’ established No. 1 wide receiver following a contract extension and a new offensive scheme under coordinator David Blough. After a 2025 campaign limited to 10 games by a quad injury that produced just three receiving touchdowns, the 31-year-old has returned fully healthy with added pre-snap motion and route versatility designed to increase his target share and red-zone opportunities. Quarterback Jayden Daniels anchors the passing attack, though competition from Stefon Diggs and McLaurin’s age introduce variables in volume and efficiency. Historical production shows a 13-touchdown peak in 2024 contrasted with lower single-digit totals in prior years, while early projections place him near WR24 with modest touchdown expectations tied to scheme fit, health, and offensive line stability.
