Official meteorological observations from Madrid's primary weather stations confirmed a maximum temperature of 34°C on September 1, driving the market's near-certain consensus at that outcome. This aligns with AEMET data under standard resolution criteria, reflecting late-summer anticyclonic conditions that suppressed cloud cover and allowed strong daytime heating without significant advection of cooler air. Earlier ensemble forecasts from European models showed high agreement on this peak, consistent with climatological norms for early September in central Spain. Minor adjustments remain possible only through rare post-processing revisions or multi-station averaging discrepancies, though such events are historically infrequent once initial reports are validated.
