Ella Langley’s “Choosin’ Texas” holds an overwhelming 82% market-implied probability in the VMA Best Country category due to its historic chart run, including a 22-week reign atop the Billboard Hot 100 that ties the all-time record and marks the longest non-holiday dominance. The track also earned Song of the Summer honors and multiple ACM wins earlier in 2026, reinforcing its crossover momentum and critical favor as a traditionalist country standout co-written and produced with Miranda Lambert. The VMAs ceremony arrives September 27, leaving little time for late shifts, while the remaining nominees—including Tucker Wetmore’s “Brunette,” Stella Lefty’s “Boston,” Shaboozey’s “Cowgirl,” Lainey Wilson’s “Somewhere Over Laredo,” Kacey Musgraves’ “Dry Spell,” and Luke Combs’ “Back in the Saddle”—trail significantly in both commercial impact and precursor recognition. Trader consensus reflects the song’s sustained radio, streaming, and cultural dominance.
