This market will resolve according to the person who is appointed as the next permanent manager of the Philadelphia Phillies. If no permanent manager is appointed by January 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, the market will resolve to "Other." Appointments of 'interim,' 'caretaker,' or other non-permanent managers will not impact this market's resolution. An announcement of a new permanent manager's appointment before this market's close date will immediately resolve this market to the corresponding option, regardless of when the announced appointment goes into effect. The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from the Philadelphia Phillies; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.**Alex Cora leads the market at 33% as trader consensus reflects his strong ties to Phillies president of baseball operations Dave Dombrowski, who previously hired him in Boston and offered him the role shortly after the Red Sox fired Cora in late April.** Cora declined at the time to prioritize family but remains the frontrunner for the permanent position heading into 2027. Don Mattingly sits second at 18.5% after stepping in as interim manager following Rob Thomson’s dismissal amid the team’s 9-19 start; the club has since improved to 80-63 and remains in playoff contention under his leadership. Other names, including internal options like Ryan Flaherty and veterans such as Bruce Bochy, trail as the front office weighs experience, familiarity with the roster, and long-term fit during the final weeks of the regular season.
