The 2026 MLS regular season remains wide open for the team finishing with the most clean sheets, with roughly 20 matches left for most clubs after 14-23 games played. Current shutout leaders such as LAFC (11-12), Nashville SC (10), and Houston Dynamo (10) hold edges but confront demanding schedules against potent attacks like Inter Miami and Vancouver Whitecaps. Defensive units across the league show volatility from goalkeeper rotations, defender injuries, and tactical shifts, while clubs like FC Dallas, Charlotte FC, and Atlanta United have posted recent improvements in limiting goals. This parity, combined with the long remaining slate and potential for late surges or dips in form, keeps implied probabilities tightly clustered near 50% for the frontrunners in trader consensus.
