Recent polling shows the Parti Québécois holding a narrow lead near 29 percent, with the Parti libéral du Québec, Coalition Avenir Québec, and Parti conservateur du Québec clustered closely behind in the low-to-mid 20s or high teens. This fragmentation sustains tight competition for third place, as regional patterns—PLQ strength on Montreal Island, CAQ competitiveness in suburban ridings, and PCQ gains around Quebec City—create multiple pathways for any of the three parties to finish third depending on turnout and late shifts. The election on October 5 leaves limited time for further consolidation, with voter concerns over cost of living, housing, and U.S. trade issues continuing to influence movement among the trailing parties.
