PQ leads Quebec’s October 5 general election race in trader pricing due to sustained polling strength and the first-past-the-post system’s amplification of its francophone support base. Recent surveys from Léger, Pallas Data, and Synopsis show the Parti Québécois holding 28–30% support, ahead of the Coalition Avenir Québec at 24–27% and the Quebec Liberal Party at 20–22%, with the Conservatives and Québec solidaire trailing further. The CAQ under new leader and Premier Christine Fréchette has clawed back some ground since the campaign launch in late August, mainly at Liberal expense, yet remains behind in seat projections. The split federalist vote and PQ’s regional concentration continue to favor it for a plurality or majority of National Assembly seats, consistent with models like 338Canada assigning the party roughly 84% odds of winning the most ridings.
