Romeo Doubs enters the 2026 season with the Patriots after signing in free agency, shifting from a complementary role with the Packers—where he posted a career-high 6 receiving touchdowns on 55 catches in 2025—to a likely No. 2 option behind A.J. Brown. His Week 1 debut featured zero receptions on three targets amid drops and two interceptions on passes intended for him, though Brown's ankle injury in that game could elevate Doubs' early targets and red-zone opportunities. Projections center around 4-5 touchdowns for the year, factoring in competition from tight end Hunter Henry, slot receivers, and running backs in New England's passing game, plus Doubs' historical reliance on efficiency rather than high volume. Schedule strength and Brown's health will remain key variables.
