The Milwaukee Brewers and Tampa Bay Rays have already clinched playoff berths, while the Los Angeles Dodgers, Atlanta Braves, and New York Yankees sit comfortably in position with strong records. Contenders like the Cleveland Guardians hold a slim one-game lead over the Toronto Blue Jays for the final AL wild-card spot, and the San Diego Padres lead the Arizona Diamondbacks by 1.5 games in the NL wild card. Division battles remain fluid in the AL Central and West, where the Chicago White Sox and Houston Astros face pressure from teams just behind. Remaining schedule strength, head-to-head matchups, and injury updates will determine final berths before the wild-card series begins September 29.
