Corbin Carroll holds a commanding position in the MLB triples race, leading with 16 three-baggers through early September—eight more than the nearest competitors—thanks to his elite speed, aggressive baserunning, and consistent extra-base production as Arizona’s leadoff outfielder. His home-to-third times rank among the fastest in the league, and he has already set the Diamondbacks’ franchise record while posting double-digit triples for the fourth straight season. With roughly three weeks remaining, the 8-triple cushion leaves little realistic room for challengers like Jake McCarthy or Otto Lopez to close the gap absent a major injury or unprecedented late surge by another speed-oriented hitter. Trader consensus reflects this dominant statistical separation heading into the final stretch.
