Recent polling shows Democrats holding a clear edge on the generic congressional ballot among young men aged 18-29, with leads reaching 30 points among likely voters in surveys such as Third Way's December 2025 sample and aligning with Pew data placing the under-30 group at 47-24 for Democratic candidates. This positioning reflects a reversal from 2024, when Republicans narrowed the gap through gains among this demographic, amid current factors including declining presidential approval ratings among young voters, persistent cost-of-living pressures, and lower midterm turnout expectations for Republican-leaning young men compared with presidential cycles. Broader party identification trends and enthusiasm gaps further support trader consensus around the Democratic advantage heading into the November 2026 elections.
