Elevated inventories and stable Gulf Coast supply have capped volatility, while modest LNG export demand and recent weather-driven cooling needs provide only marginal support. Market-implied odds reflect trader consensus that a surge above key thresholds like $3.75–$4.00 remains unlikely absent a sharp crude spike or unexpected inventory draw, consistent with the EIA’s near-term energy outlook. Key near-term catalysts include the next weekly storage reports, any OPEC+ signals, and seasonal shifts as driving demand tapers.
