Recent polling shows Democrats holding a substantial edge among young men ages 18-29 on the generic congressional ballot, with leads ranging from 16 to 30 points among registered and likely voters. This positioning stems from declining approval for President Trump on cost-of-living issues, the economy, and foreign policy, alongside lower midterm turnout expectations among Republican-leaning and independent young men. Surveys from Third Way, Harvard, and Times/Siena highlight economic pressures and disillusionment with the administration as key factors shifting preferences back toward Democrats compared with 2024 patterns. Trader consensus reflected in current pricing aligns with these trends, though enthusiasm gaps and late-cycle developments could still influence final turnout among this demographic.
