The early-stage internal contest within Mexico’s ruling 4T coalition is the dominant driver of current trader pricing for the June 2027 Baja California Sur gubernatorial election. Multiple Morena, PT, and PVEM aspirants registered in June 2026 for the state coordination process that will determine the nominee, with Milena Quiroga Romero (former La Paz mayor) holding the highest implied probability on the strength of her municipal record on water, security, mobility, and digital services. Manuel Cota Cárdenas, Christian Agúndez Gómez, and Francisco Pelayo Covarrubias follow as leading alternatives, while opposition positioning by the PAN and the new Somos MX party adds further fragmentation. No candidate has yet secured a clear path through party mechanisms or polling, leaving the field closely matched until nomination votes or surveys provide clearer separation.
