Recent forecasts from AEMET and numerical models indicate a high of 34–35°C in Madrid on September 1 under clear skies, light southerly winds, and dry conditions, aligning closely with the market's leading outcomes at 54.5% for 35°C and 43.5% for 34°C. This stems from a persistent high-pressure ridge maintaining above-average late-summer warmth, with ensemble guidance showing limited variability and minimal cloud cover or moisture to moderate temperatures. Historical September 1 highs average near 30°C, so current conditions reflect a modest positive anomaly without extreme heat signals. Updated model runs and official briefings in the coming hours remain the key catalysts for any shifts in trader consensus.
