**The Parti Québécois maintains a consistent polling lead entering the final month before the October 5, 2026, Quebec general election, positioning it as the clear frontrunner to win the most seats in the National Assembly.** Recent surveys from Léger and Pallas Data show the PQ holding steady near 29% support, ahead of the CAQ at 23-24%, the PLQ at 20-22%, the PCQ at 15%, and QS at 10-11%, with little movement in the past week. This edge stems from stronger backing among francophone voters and favorable regional distribution that translates into superior seat projections, despite a closely divided popular vote. The incumbent CAQ, now led by Christine Fréchette, has gained ground on economic and trade issues amid U.S. tariff pressures but trails overall, while voter desire for change favors the opposition. Models currently assign the PQ an 80%+ chance of securing the most seats, often in a minority scenario, with the CAQ retaining a secondary but reduced path. Upcoming debates and late-campaign developments could still influence final seat outcomes.
