Recent polling averages show the Parti Québécois maintaining a consistent lead of five to six points over the incumbent Coalition Avenir Québec ahead of the October 5 election, with the PQ near 29% and the CAQ around 23-24%. Seat projections from models such as 338Canada and The Writ assign the PQ an approximately 80% chance of securing the most seats, though a majority remains unlikely due to competitive ridings and the CAQ's stronger support among older voters. The campaign, underway since late August, has seen limited movement in recent surveys, with the PQ benefiting from voter fatigue with the CAQ government on issues including healthcare and living costs. The Liberals trail further back, while smaller parties hold minimal shares. This distribution underpins trader pricing for a PQ plurality outcome.
