Incumbent Republican Tom Emmer holds a commanding position in Minnesota’s 6th Congressional District heading into the November 3 general election, backed by the seat’s consistent Republican lean, his sixth term in office, and role as House Majority Whip. Multiple nonpartisan forecasters rate the race Solid Republican, reflecting the district’s R+10 partisan index and Donald Trump’s 13.5-point margin there in 2024. Emmer secured his party’s nomination with over 80 percent in the August 11 primary, while Democrat Doug Chapin advanced unopposed after the Democratic primary. Limited independent polling and minimal media attention have kept the contest off the radar of competitive races. Trader consensus reflected in current pricing aligns with these structural advantages, though a significant national partisan swing, late-breaking scandal, or unexpected turnout shift could still alter the outcome before Election Day.

A candidate's party will be determined by their ballot-listed or otherwise identifiable affiliation with that party at the time all of the 2026 House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources. A candidate without a ballot-listed affiliation to either the Democrat or Republican parties will be considered a member of one of these parties based on the party with which they most recently expressed their intent to caucus at the time all of the House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources.
This market will resolve based on the result of the election as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as reported by the United States government, specifically the Federal Election Commission (https://www.fec.gov/).
