The Parti Québécois holds a clear lead in trader consensus for forming the next Quebec government after the October 5 election, driven by its consistent polling edge of around 29% and stronger positioning among francophone voters under leader Paul St-Pierre Plamondon. Recent Léger, Pallas, and Synopsis surveys show the CAQ closing some ground to about 24% under new Premier Christine Fréchette, while the Liberals have slipped to roughly 22% and other parties trail further behind. The race remains fluid with over 40% of decided voters open to switching and key campaign issues including healthcare, housing costs, and U.S. tariffs. Seat projections favor the PQ for a plurality or minority government in the 127-seat National Assembly, though tight regional contests and voter shifts before election day continue to influence probabilities.
