The TX-19 district's strong Republican lean, reflected in its R+25 Cook PVI and consistent double-digit margins for GOP candidates in recent statewide races, underpins the market's 94.5% consensus on the Republican nominee. Tom Sell secured the nomination after winning the May 2026 runoff, positioning him to succeed retiring incumbent Jodey Arrington in a West Texas district that favored Trump by roughly 51 points in 2024. Democratic nominee Kyle Rable faces structural headwinds in a seat rated solid or safe Republican by major forecasters. Trader pricing aligns with these fundamentals and the absence of competitive polling or major developments since the primaries. Only unforeseen events such as candidate health issues, major scandals, or significant national political shifts could realistically narrow the gap before the November general election.

A candidate's party will be determined by their ballot-listed or otherwise identifiable affiliation with that party at the time all of the 2026 House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources. A candidate without a ballot-listed affiliation to either the Democrat or Republican parties will be considered a member of one of these parties based on the party with which they most recently expressed their intent to caucus at the time all of the House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources.
This market will resolve based on the result of the election as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as reported by the United States government, specifically the Federal Election Commission (https://www.fec.gov/).
