With multiple outcomes priced near 50% implied probability, Polymarket traders see the 2026 VMA Best Alternative category as unusually open, with no clear frontrunner emerging from recent releases or buzz. Olivia Rodrigo’s “The Cure” leads at 41.5%, ahead of Twenty One Pilots’ “Drag Path” at 18.5% and Sombr’s “Homewrecker” at 15%, reflecting modest edges in streaming metrics and critical notice rather than decisive momentum. Differentiators include chart trajectory, genre-blending appeal, and live-performance visibility, yet the tight pricing underscores rapid shifts possible from late-year drops, festival appearances, or voter sentiment swings before the ceremony.
