About Practice Letters

I started practising Bikram Yoga in 2011.

Over the years, the practice taught me lessons about discipline, resilience, patience, discomfort, and change.

Practice Letters is where I write about those lessons.

Some letters begin in the hot room. Others begin in an ice bath, a conversation, a life transition, or an ordinary moment that made me stop and reflect. While many of the stories come from the world of health and wellness, this isn’t really a newsletter about yoga.

It’s about practice.

The things we do repeatedly. The habits we build. The challenges we face. And what happens when we continue showing up, even when progress isn’t obvious.

I publish new letters once or twice a week.

If you’re interested in personal growth, wellbeing, and the lessons that only practice can teach, I’d love to have you along for the journey.

About the Author

Roxanne is a certified Bikram Yoga teacher who has been practicing and teaching for over 10 years. She graduated from Bikram Yoga Teacher Training with the Best Yogini Award, and her work has been shaped by years of consistent practice and teaching in high-heat environments.

Along the way, she has competed in and won awards at local and international yoga championships — experiences that sharpened her relationship with structure, precision, and staying steady under pressure.

While heat remains central to her practice, Roxanne has spent the past year personally exploring contrast therapy through cold exposure and breathwork. She is beginning to facilitate these practices, approaching them with curiosity, respect, and the same commitment to consistency that has guided her yoga journey.

Her teaching is grounded in structure, repetition, and the belief that the most meaningful progress happens when we stay present through discomfort.

Practice Letters is where Roxanne reflects on what the practice teaches — not just in the room, but in life.
