Christian Watson enters the 2026 season as the Packers' clear lead wide receiver following a four-year, $110.5 million extension, with vacated targets from departed players like Romeo Doubs increasing his opportunity in Jordan Love's offense. His 2025 output of six receiving touchdowns in just 10 games highlighted red-zone efficiency and big-play ability when healthy, yet a long injury history—including an ACL tear—has limited him to an average of roughly 12 games per season. Recent training camp and preseason reports position him atop the depth chart ahead of Jayden Reed and Matthew Golden, with official roster inclusion confirming his starting role for Week 1. Durability remains the decisive variable for total touchdowns, as full participation would likely elevate his volume and scoring chances in an offense emphasizing downfield threats.
