The category rewards cinematic ambition, and the track’s orchestral collaboration, Dave Meyers direction, and Frame23 Studio effects deliver standout visual scale that resonates with voters. Ariana Grande’s “Hate That I Made You Love Me,” Taylor Swift’s “The Fate of Ophelia,” PinkPantheress’s “Stateside + Zara Larsson,” Jisoo and Zayn’s “Eyes Closed,” and Madonna’s “Confessions II – The Film” sit within a few points, reflecting comparable production values and artist momentum. Fan voting closes September 25 ahead of the September 27 ceremony, leaving room for late shifts driven by streaming spikes or social buzz. Historical VMA outcomes often favor high-profile visuals tied to major releases, keeping the field competitive until ballots close.
