The Chicago White Sox hold a narrow two-game lead over the Cleveland Guardians in the AL Central with roughly three weeks remaining, backed by a superior run differential and stronger recent overall form that has positioned them as the clear division frontrunner in trader consensus. Chicago sits at 75-70 while Cleveland stands at 74-73, with the Twins, Tigers, and Royals trailing by 6.5 games or more and showing little realistic path to close the gap. Recent results, including White Sox setbacks against the Pirates and Guardians losses to the Orioles, have kept the race tight but have not shifted the standings lead. The White Sox’s remaining schedule, including upcoming series against weaker opponents and a late matchup with Cleveland, further supports their implied probability edge in the final stretch.
