Taylor Swift’s “The Fate of Ophelia” leads VMA Best Pop trader sentiment at 67% implied probability, driven by its status as a massive commercial and cultural force from the Life of a Showgirl era. The track set Spotify streaming records, topped global charts, and earned Swift nine overall nominations, including Video of the Year, positioning it ahead of the rest of the field. The other nominees—Ariana Grande’s “Hate That I Made You Love Me,” Olivia Rodrigo’s “Drop Dead,” Sabrina Carpenter’s “House Tour,” and entries from Charli XCX, LISA, and Tate McRae—sit lower as the September 27 ceremony approaches, with no major late shifts in critical or fan momentum reported. Historical VMA patterns favor high-profile, multi-nominated pop videos with strong year-long visibility, though voter preferences in the fan-influenced category can still produce surprises.
