Apple’s first foldable iPhone, widely expected to be unveiled at the September 9 “Surprise and Shine” event alongside the iPhone 18 Pro models, drives current trader focus on its announced price. Supply-chain reports and analysts including Ming-Chi Kuo place the starting price in the $2,000–$2,500 range, reflecting a book-style design with a roughly 5.5-inch cover display and 7.8-inch inner OLED panel engineered for minimal crease, plus premium components like an A20-series chip. This positions the device above Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold series (starting near $1,900–$2,100) while targeting strong replacement demand despite limited initial production volumes. Upcoming catalysts include the event itself and any pre-order or availability details that could confirm or adjust the pricing tier.
