Recent National Weather Service and model guidance for San Francisco points to a low near 58°F on September 1 under partly cloudy skies with light southwest winds and a slight morning marine layer influence. This setup limits overnight radiative cooling compared with clearer conditions, while the persistent onshore flow keeps temperatures from dropping toward the historical September 1 average of 56°F. Trader sentiment clusters around the 56–67°F ranges because ensemble spreads remain modest but include potential for modest warming if clouds break earlier or winds stay elevated, versus slightly cooler readings if fog develops more persistently. With resolution hinging on the official overnight minimum at the downtown station, fresh model runs and any last-minute marine-layer updates will likely drive the tightest price adjustments.
