Current short-range model guidance and National Weather Service forecasts for Atlanta on September 1 point to mostly sunny conditions with highs in the mid-90s, driven by persistent warm advection and light northeast winds under high pressure. This positions the 94-95°F and 96-97°F bins as the clear market leaders at 48.5% and 38% implied probability. Historical climatology shows an average high near 87°F for the date, but recent late-August heat buildup and low precipitation chances have elevated readings several degrees above normal. Humidity will push heat indices above 100°F, though air temperature resolution depends on exact peak timing and any late-day mixing. Updated model runs and official observations tomorrow morning represent the key remaining catalysts.
