Recent polls ahead of the October 5 election show the Parti Québécois maintaining a narrow lead in popular support near 28-29 percent, with the Parti libéral du Québec, Coalition Avenir Québec, and Parti conservateur du Québec clustered between 21-24 percent. This fragmentation sustains a close contest for second place, as the Liberals draw strength from Montreal ridings while the CAQ retains pockets of support elsewhere and the PCQ gains in the Quebec City region. Seat projections from aggregators place the PLQ ahead of the CAQ for official opposition status in most scenarios, though late-campaign shifts in undecided voters and regional turnout could alter the final order. Leaders’ debates and platform contrasts on economic management and sovereignty continue to influence these margins.
