Databricks closed its latest $5 billion strategic round on August 13, 2026, at a $190 billion post-money valuation—up 42% from the $134 billion Series L in February—after annualized recurring revenue surpassed $7 billion with over 80% year-over-year growth and net dollar retention above 140%. Secondary market marks as of mid-September implied levels near $208 billion amid sustained institutional demand for AI infrastructure platforms. The company remains private, with CEO Ali Ghodsi citing crowded 2026 IPO calendars and opting for further private capital; any 2027 listing or additional round would serve as the next major catalyst for valuation resets. Trader sentiment reflects these fundamentals alongside broader risk appetite for high-growth software names trading at premiums to public peers like Snowflake.
