Adelita Grijalva holds a commanding lead in the Arizona 7th congressional district race because the seat has a strong Democratic tilt, reflected in voter registration patterns and consistent past results. She won the 2025 special election to succeed her father by roughly a 2-to-1 margin over the same Republican opponent and ran unopposed in the July 2026 Democratic primary. The district spans border communities from Yuma to Tucson, where Democratic turnout advantages have held steady. Recent candidate debates highlighted differences on immigration enforcement and funding issues, yet no major shifts in polling or campaign dynamics have emerged to narrow the gap. Trader consensus at these levels aligns with the district’s historical margins and the absence of competitive primary challenges or late-breaking developments that could alter the trajectory before the November general election. Scenarios such as an unexpected scandal or unusually low Democratic participation could still introduce uncertainty.

A candidate's party will be determined by their ballot-listed or otherwise identifiable affiliation with that party at the time all of the 2026 House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources. A candidate without a ballot-listed affiliation to either the Democrat or Republican parties will be considered a member of one of these parties based on the party with which they most recently expressed their intent to caucus at the time all of the House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources.
This market will resolve based on the result of the election as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as reported by the United States government, specifically the Federal Election Commission (https://www.fec.gov/).
