**Patrick Brown, the incumbent Brampton mayor seeking a third term in the October 26, 2026 municipal election, holds a dominant position in trader assessments due to his established record on public safety, infrastructure delivery, and fiscal measures.** He won re-election in 2022 with nearly 60% of the vote and maintains high name recognition as a former federal and provincial politician. Recent activity includes his July 2026 nomination filing, participation in a September 15 candidates’ forum on arts and growth issues alongside lower-profile challengers such as Sandeep Somal, Wesley Jackson, Prabh Gill, and Paul Tarriwal, and continued emphasis on projects like the second hospital and Hazel McCallion LRT extension. With roughly a dozen registered candidates and no major polling shifts or disruptive events reported in the past month, market pricing aligns with Brown’s incumbency advantages and historical performance in the Peel Region contest.
