Casey Askar holds a modest edge in trader consensus for Florida’s 22nd Congressional District because the seat was redrawn in 2026 to favor Republicans, with Donald Trump carrying the territory by roughly 10 points in the prior cycle. The open district, vacated after incumbent Lois Frankel shifted to the neighboring seat, features a partisan voting index that rates Lean Republican across major forecasters. Askar, a Marine veteran and self-funded businessman, secured the GOP nomination in an August primary against a crowded field and received National Republican Congressional Committee backing in early September. Pia Dandiya, a former educator and school principal who won her primary decisively, benefits from Democratic fundraising and the district’s suburban Broward and Palm Beach County voters, keeping the race within striking distance seven weeks before the November 3 general election.

A candidate's party will be determined by their ballot-listed or otherwise identifiable affiliation with that party at the time all of the 2026 House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources. A candidate without a ballot-listed affiliation to either the Democrat or Republican parties will be considered a member of one of these parties based on the party with which they most recently expressed their intent to caucus at the time all of the House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources.
This market will resolve based on the result of the election as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as reported by the United States government, specifically the Federal Election Commission (https://www.fec.gov/).
