Grace Meng secured the Democratic nomination in June 2026 by defeating challenger Chuck Park 57-43 percent in the primary, preserving her position as the clear favorite for the November general election in New York’s 6th Congressional District. The solidly Democratic Queens-based seat has returned her to Congress since 2013, supported by substantial fundraising advantages and endorsements from major unions and party figures. Republican nominee Joseph Chou advanced unopposed but trails significantly in resources and visibility. Nonpartisan rating organizations classify the race as Safe or Solid Democratic, aligning with trader consensus that prices Meng near 95 percent. A late national shift, unusually low Democratic turnout, or major unforeseen development could narrow the margin, though structural and financial barriers make such an outcome unlikely.

A candidate's party will be determined by their ballot-listed or otherwise identifiable affiliation with that party at the time all of the 2026 House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources. A candidate without a ballot-listed affiliation to either the Democrat or Republican parties will be considered a member of one of these parties based on the party with which they most recently expressed their intent to caucus at the time all of the House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources.
This market will resolve based on the result of the election as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as reported by the United States government, specifically the Federal Election Commission (https://www.fec.gov/).
