Persistent marine layer and onshore southwest flow are suppressing San Francisco temperatures well below the 69–70°F historical average for September 1, keeping the National Weather Service forecast for a high near 66°F with lingering drizzle risk. This setup has positioned the 68–69°F bin (48.5% market-implied odds) as the leading outcome among traders, as models show modest afternoon warming potential if the layer thins, while the 70–71°F range (25.5%) trails. The 66–67°F bin (12%) reflects the cooler baseline scenario still in play. Updated NWS and NOAA model runs tomorrow morning will provide the final guidance ahead of market resolution.
