This market will resolve according to the total number of valid votes cast in the 2026 midterm election for Senator from Oklahoma. If the reported value falls exactly between two brackets, then this market will resolve to the higher range bracket. If the results of the specified election are not definitively known by March 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to the lowest range bracket. All votes certified for candidates or non-candidate options in the specified election are included. Invalidated or blank votes are not included. In ranked-choice or preferential systems, the first-round vote total will be used. The primary resolution source for this market will be the official results of the 2026 midterm election for Senator from Oklahoma, as published by the state electoral authority responsible for certifying the results of the election; however, an overwhelming consensus of credible reporting may also be used.Oklahoma’s low baseline voter engagement shapes expectations for total ballots cast in the November 3, 2026 U.S. Senate contest between Republican Kevin Hern and Democrat N’Kiyla Jasmine Thomas. The state has long ranked near the bottom nationally in participation, with recent 2026 primaries and the August runoff producing roughly 22-26% turnout among registered voters. A solidly Republican seat with limited competitiveness reduces incentives for broad mobilization, keeping projected totals clustered around 1.1-1.3 million. Traders weigh this historical pattern against the general-election environment, where concurrent statewide races or ballot questions could modestly lift participation without overcoming entrenched apathy. The narrow spread between leading ranges reflects uncertainty over whether modest structural factors like expanded early voting or campaign advertising will push totals higher or leave them closer to primary levels.
