Recent polling ahead of the October 5 Quebec election shows the PQ and CAQ in a statistical tie near 27-28 percent, with the PLQ dropping to around 20 percent and the PCQ and QS further back, reflecting CAQ gains among francophones and older voters amid U.S. trade tensions. The PLQ’s concentration of support in Montreal and among anglophones and allophones positions it as the most likely third-place finisher, while the CAQ’s momentum and the PQ’s francophone edge create uncertainty over the top two spots and potential shifts in lower placements. High levels of undecided voters, regional riding variations, and the possibility of late campaign movement among the five main parties keep probabilities for third place closely contested beyond the PLQ favorite.
