If the listed company merges with another entity, is acquired, or ceases to exist before the market resolves, the market will also resolve to "No". The IPO refers to the first sale of stock by the listed company to the public on any recognized stock exchange. If the listed company undergoes a merger, this will only qualify for a “No” resolution if the transaction results in the listed company being fully absorbed, dissolved, or otherwise no longer capable of independently conducting an Initial Public Offering. Transactions in which the listed company continues as a parent or successor will not alone qualify for a “No” resolution. This market will resolve early if the listed company completes an IPO by December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET. The resolution source for this market is a consensus of credible reporting. The 2026 IPO rebound has produced record proceeds, with $251 billion raised across 86 U.S. deals through late July—more than five times 2025’s full-year total—fueled by strong equity markets (Nasdaq Composite +35% YTD) and AI-driven valuations. Multiple companies have priced or filed recently, including Holtec Nuclear’s $825 million offering and Orion180 Insurance’s $320 million deal set for mid-September, while direct listings have also hit record levels. High-profile names such as SpaceX completed listings earlier in the year, but others like Databricks have explicitly deferred to 2027 citing unfavorable conditions, and OpenAI and Anthropic face ongoing debates over timing and trillion-dollar target valuations. Trader sentiment on near-term resolutions reflects this selectivity, with market-implied odds shaped by filing momentum, lock-up expirations, and macroeconomic factors including Treasury yields and Fed policy that influence risk appetite for large equity issuances. Key catalysts ahead include additional S-1 filings and potential mega-deals in the final months of 2026.
