Russia’s Supreme Court ruling on August 10, 2026, removed Yabloko’s federal party list from the September 18–20 State Duma ballot after a challenge by the Rodina party, leaving the liberal opposition group ineligible for the nationwide proportional representation vote that requires a 5 percent threshold. The decision followed initial Central Election Commission registration in late July and upheld prior administrative restrictions that had already limited candidate participation. Yabloko has not cleared the threshold in any national election since 1999 and historically polled near 1–2 percent amid documented controls favoring established parties. Trader consensus at 99.5 percent reflects the finality of the exclusion with voting days away. Remaining single-mandate candidacies in limited districts or an improbable reversal on further appeal represent the narrowest paths that could theoretically alter the outcome.
