Recent polling from late August and early September shows Renato Casagrande (PSB) leading the Espírito Santo Senate race for one of the two seats, while a technical tie persists among six or more candidates for second place. Sergio Meneguelli (PSD), Fabiano Contarato (PT), Rose de Freitas (MDB), Maguinha Malta (PL), Evair de Melo (Republicanos), and Marcos do Val (Avante) sit within the margin of error in consolidated first-and-second vote scenarios. High shares of undecided voters, blank or null ballots, and the requirement that each elector select two names sustain this fragmentation. With the October 4 election approaching and no major coalition shifts or new surveys reported in recent weeks, trader probabilities for second place remain closely bunched, reflecting the absence of decisive momentum for any single contender.
