Recent polling aggregates show the Parti Québécois maintaining a lead in popular vote and seat projections for the October 5 election, leaving the Parti libéral du Québec and Coalition Avenir Québec in a tight contest for second place. Late-campaign surveys indicate the PLQ edging ahead in some aggregates as the CAQ loses slight momentum among francophone voters, though seat projections remain sensitive to closely contested ridings and regional swings. Trader consensus reflected in current pricing captures this narrow gap, with volatility tied to ongoing debates, turnout patterns in key districts, and any last-minute shifts in support for smaller parties such as the Parti conservateur du Québec. Historical patterns of late movement in Quebec campaigns and the first-past-the-post system underscore how modest changes in a handful of ridings could alter the final ranking.
