Recent polling averages show the Parti Québécois maintaining a steady lead in popular vote intentions ahead of the October 5 election, with support concentrated in key francophone and suburban regions that favor its seat totals. Seat projection models assign the PQ an 80-89% probability of securing the largest share of National Assembly seats, though most scenarios point to a minority government given tight races with the Coalition Avenir Québec. The CAQ has posted modest gains under its new leader since the writ drop in late August, narrowing the gap in some surveys and improving its standing among older voters, yet remains well behind in overall projections. Smaller parties including the Liberals, Conservatives, and Québec solidaire hold fragmented support that limits their path to a plurality. Trader consensus on these probabilities reflects the stability of recent polls and the structural advantages of the PQ's geographic distribution.
